Nothin' big...

Well for some reason, today seemed like a good day to rejoin blog-land. So here goes...

But don't get your hopes up. It probably won't be a full-blown, daily-posting, diy-inspiring, deep-thought provoking kind of a comeback, mind you. I am currently in the awesome & time-consuming days of mothering my fabulous foursome. So to be totally honest, this could be my post for 2013. :o)

But I do enjoy this avenue of sharing thoughts, encouragement and fabulous foursome stories. I feel like the past year, wait scratch that...make that the past 8 years, has been such a huge time of growth, that I feel like I should be sharing some of these things! So as time allows, I will post something now and again.

But I'm not promising anything big here people.
Nothin' big.
Between diapers, doctors appointments, dinner prep and the occasional date night...well, you get the picture.

Speaking of, G-man has just made some needs known to this momma...
Mama Mac out.

3 Weeks in Seattle...

It has been relatively quiet here in blog land these past 3 weeks...
As many of you know, we moved here to Seattle to prepare for the arrival of our little man
And the day is fast approaching.
Thursday to be exact.
Yes, this Thursday, the 3rd.
At 8 am.

And so for these past 3 weeks, we have been keeping busy...

Exploring.
Playing.
Learning.
Waiting.
Eating.
Reading.
Crying.
Adjusting.
Praying.
Preparing.
Living.

Little man note:  And to keep you more up to date on the happenings of our little man, we will be using a CaringBridge website. Just head here and you will be able to follow our journal entries, see new pictures and hear the latest updates. I may use my blog every once in a while during these next weeks, but will probably focus more on the CB site for more streamlined communication.

Exciting days ahead!!!

It's a date...

As many of you know, we had appointments yesterday at U of W for the little man.
They consisted of listening to his sweet & steady heartbeat, watching his movements on the NST monitor, talking with his doctors and touring the rooms where he will be born, cared for and treated in when he arrives on his big day.

I was flooded with memories of Miss Ella's birth-day almost 7 years ago.  We were in a different facility, but much of the teaching, prep & paperwork is the same.
And as He did seven years ago, the Lord seemed to supply an extra dose of peace at every turn. Just another outpouring of His limitless grace.

And along with the peace was a growing excitement for his arrival. Not just excitement, joy! Deep, passionate, intense joy...
And now, we actually have a date!

May 3rd.

And between now and then, we will wait.
In Seattle.
Without daddy.
Away from our home, family & friends.

But what an adventure it will be...just another part of the little man's story.
Monday (or Tuesday...we aren't exactly sure yet), the children & I (and our sweet nanny, Miss Emily) will move to Seattle until his arrival.

The Lord has provided a rental home (fully furnished) about a mile from the U of W and Children's. This is a huge provision!!! We are so very thankful and the kids & I are looking forward to exploring and enjoying the "big city" for a couple weeks.

So here we go...it's a date.
May 3rd.
And we cannot wait.
